Sabudh Data Science Pro 2021 Webinar on “Algorithmic geometry creation for AR and VR”

Sabudh Webinar poster

Under the Sabudh Data Science Pro 2021 Webinar, Dr Ojaswa Sharma delivered a talk on “Algorithmic geometry creation for AR and VR” on  6 March 2021. The webinar was organised by the Sabudh Foundation in collaboration with BML Munjal University.

Talk abstract:
3D Geometry creation is essential in many fields today including scientific simulations, movie making, and games. There is a need to create high-quality geometry for immersive technologies like AR and VR. While 3D geometry is classically created by artists, in this talk we will look at how such geometric data can be created algorithmically, analysed and visualised in an immersive environment. The specific focus will be on modelling and replicating the 3D world around us with applications from urban modelling in both AR and VR. Procedurally created geometry is of high quality, can be quickly generated, and reduces manual effort.
