In this work we propose a technique to compute optimal camera poses for image acquisition to be used for drone assisted automated surveys. We use this technique to create highly detailed 3D models of architectural buildings from multi-view reconstruction.

This work presents a methodology to automate some parts of the manual digitization process. This includes replacing the manual digitization process by computer assisted skeletonization using scanned paper maps. In colour scanned paper maps various features on the map can
